Cui Chenxi, a 13-year-old skateboarder from China, secured a gold medal in women’s street skateboarding at the Asian Games in Hangzhou. Despite being the youngest member of the delegation, she outperformed her 18-year-old teammate and a 16-year-old Japanese skateboarder to claim the top spot. Chenxi’s strategy of a conservative first run followed by a strong second run paid off, earning her the gold. Looking ahead, she has her sights set on the Paris Olympics. In other Asian Games highlights, Chinese skater Zhang Jie won gold in men’s street skateboarding, while Nepal’s cricket team set records in a dominant victory over Mongolia. India’s shooter Sift Kaur Samra also shone with gold and silver medals in the women’s 50-meter rifle competition.
