The U.S. National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) has accused X (formerly Twitter), owned by Elon Musk, of violating federal labor laws by allegedly firing an employee in retaliation for her internet posts challenging the company’s return-to-office policy. The dispute began in November 2022 when Musk ordered workers back to the office, and an employee’s post on Twitter led to her termination. Musk acquired Twitter last October and implemented layoffs, leading to multiple lawsuits, including allegations of targeting women and workers with disabilities and failing to provide promised severance. X has denied wrongdoing in these cases.
