A survey conducted by Honeywell has found that around six in 10 retailers are planning to adopt Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Computer Vision (CV) technologies in the next year to enhance the shopping experience both in physical stores and online. The survey involved nearly 1,000 retail directors, and the majority see these technologies as tools to complement and enhance their workforce, rather than replace jobs. Around 48% of respondents identified AI, ML, and CV as the top technologies that will significantly impact the retail industry in the next three to five years. Budget constraints, difficulty in demonstrating business value, and lack of internal expertise were cited as barriers to widespread adoption.
