Elon Musk Wanted ‘Fire-Breathing Dragon’ as Twitter CEO, Claims New Biography
According to a new biography of Elon Musk, the billionaire CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, Musk fired former Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal because he believed Twitter needed “a fire-breathing dragon” to thrive, and Agrawal did not fit that description. Musk’s acquisition of Twitter for $44 billion in October 2022 led to Agrawal’s termination. While Agrawal and another executive were supposed to receive significant exit packages, he has not been active on Twitter or other social media platforms since October 2022. Musk’s decision was influenced by his belief that managers should not aim to be liked but should be more assertive in their roles.
