Following the ouster of Sheikh Hasina, prominent Indian-American Congressmen Ro Khanna and Raja Krishnamoorthi have called for an immediate end to violence against Bangladesh’s Hindu minority. Their appeals came as Hindu American groups met with State Department officials to address the spike in attacks and vandalism targeting Hindu communities and temples. Khanna and Krishnamoorthi emphasized the need for interim Prime Minister Muhammad Yunus to uphold the rule of law and protect all citizens.
