In the 26th ITTF-Asian Table Tennis Championships, the Indian men’s team, seeded third, secured a spot in the semifinals by defeating Singapore with a 3-0 victory. This achievement marks India’s third entry into the semifinals in the team championships. Their next challenge will be against second-seeded Chinese Taipei, who secured their semifinal berth by beating Iran 3-2. The other semifinal match will feature Korea facing off against China.
While the Indian men’s team celebrated their successful advance, the Indian women’s team faced a tough quarterfinal loss to Japan, losing 3-0. As a result, they will now compete against Singapore for positions 5-8 in the tournament.

Miu Hirano of Japan triumphed over Sutirtha Mukherjee with a score of 7-11, 11-4, 11-6, 11-5.
