External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar stated that roughly 75% of the border disengagement issues with China are resolved, but the increasing militarisation along the frontier remains a significant challenge. Speaking at the Geneva Centre for Security Policy, Jaishankar highlighted that the 2020 Galwan Valley clashes deeply impacted India-China relations. He emphasized that peace at the border is essential for improving ties, as violence cannot be isolated from the broader relationship. Negotiations are ongoing, with hopes for a peaceful resolution.
