The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has prohibited Ravi Goenka and Chandra Shekhar Goenka from holding key posts in listed companies for five years due to their involvement in market manipulation and fraudulent activities. The regulatory action follows an investigation into trading activities of Zenith Infotech, where Ravi Goenka was the managing director and Chandra Shekhar Goenka was the director. The SEBI found that they indulged in manipulating the firm’s shares and creating artificial trading volume to mislead investors. The ruling aims to curb market manipulation and uphold the integrity of India’s financial markets.
