Kalanithi Maran, promoter of KAL Airways, has filed a fresh plea in the Delhi High Court against SpiceJet, seeking 50% of the airline’s daily revenue on a weekly basis to settle dues amounting to Rs 393 crore. Maran accuses SpiceJet and its chairman, Ajay Singh, of willfully defaulting on payment, as directed by the Supreme Court, and claims outstanding dues. The court has issued a notice to SpiceJet, directing the airline to file its financial statement and assets and liabilities affidavit within a week. SpiceJet’s chairman is required to appear in court on August 24.
