Rachakonda Commissioner of Police Tarun Joshi announced the deployment of 2,800 policemen for security during Indian Premier League (IPL) matches featuring Sunrisers Hyderabad. The force, drawn from various police wings, aims to prevent any untoward incidents. Surveillance is ensured with 360 CCTV cameras both inside and around the stadium. Spectators face restrictions on items like water bottles and banners, with gates opening three hours before matches. An Integrated Command Control Centre and effective communication systems enhance monitoring and response capabilities. Bomb disposal teams and sniffer dogs further bolster safety measures. Physically challenged spectators are directed to specific entry points, with traffic diversions for heavy goods vehicles during match timings to ensure smooth conduct of matches.
