Air India and Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) have inked a pact to elevate Bengaluru into a premier aviation hub for southern India. The five-year collaboration aims to bolster international connectivity, operational efficiency, and passenger experience. It includes enhancing Air India’s presence at Kempegowda International Airport and establishing a dedicated domestic lounge for premium travelers. Additionally, Air India will establish Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facilities at BLR airport, projected to create 1,200 job opportunities. Both parties view this partnership as pivotal in advancing the transformation of Air India and elevating BLR Airport’s position as a key international gateway in South India.
