An advisory issued by the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has instructed States and Union Territories (UTs) to submit data on heat stroke cases, emergency attendance, and total deaths through the Integrated Health Information Portal (IHIP). This directive aims to facilitate the investigation of suspected heat-related illnesses and deaths during the upcoming Heat Wave Season 2024.In addition to collecting data, the advisory includes guidelines for organizing mass gatherings and sports events to mitigate health risks, especially among vulnerable populations.
