Chennai-based software giant Zoho, led by CEO Sridhar Vembu, ventures into manufacturing with Karuvi brand for power tools. After two years of research, Zoho gears up for commercial production, highlighting innovation in Tenkasi factory. This move broadens Zoho’s portfolio alongside its software offerings like Zakya for retail PoS. Inspired by a customer’s suggestion, Zoho aims to create rural job opportunities. Despite a 3% increase in net profit to Rs 2,836 crore and a 30% rise in revenue to Rs 8,703 crore in FY 2022-23, Zoho’s new venture marks a significant strategic shift.
