CPI(M) Kerala State secretary M.V. Govindan has dismissed the probe by the Directorate of Enforcement (ED) against Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s daughter’s company as politically motivated. Govindan stated that the CPI(M) has no involvement in the investigation, labeling the ED as a “goonda gang” of the BJP government. He criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for spreading misinformation about the Karuvannur bank scam and accused the Congress of being silent on critical issues like the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA). Govindan also pointed out instances of Congress leaders joining the BJP and suggested that both parties have benefited from the electoral bonds “scam.”
