Vodafone Idea Limited (VI) has successfully secured Rs 5,400 crore from anchor investors prior to its Follow-on Public Offer (FPO). Major investors include GQG Partners, Fidelity Investments, and Indian firms like HDFC Mutual Fund and SBI General Insurance. The FPO, aiming to raise Rs. 18,000 crore, will support VI in enhancing its 4G network, investing in 5G services, and settling government dues. The offering, priced between Rs. 10-Rs. 11 per share, opens for retail investors from April 18 to April 22. If fully subscribed, it could mark one of India’s significant fundraisers in recent times.
