Russia announced the destruction of four Ukrainian military boats carrying troops in the Black Sea. The Russian defense ministry stated that naval aviation aircraft of the Black Sea Fleet destroyed the boats, which had landing groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The boats were reportedly traveling toward Cape Tarkhankut on the Crimean coast. This incident follows a similar attack on August 30 when Russia claimed to have destroyed four Ukrainian military boats carrying up to 50 soldiers in the Black Sea.
In related news, Ukrainian forces downed 17 Russian drones over the southern Odesa region and reported damage to buildings in the area. The attacks caused damage to warehouses, production buildings, agricultural machinery, and equipment of industrial enterprises in several settlements of the Izmail district along the Danube river, which borders Romania. Russia has been using Iranian-made Shahed attack drones in these attacks on the civil infrastructure of the Danube region.
