Deepak S Parekh has resigned as chairman of HDFC Life Insurance, with Keki M Mistry stepping into the role, effective immediately pending regulatory approval. Mistry, a Chartered Accountant, has been with the company since December 2000 and currently serves as a Non-Executive Director. Formerly Vice Chairman & CEO of HDFC Limited, Mistry now assumes the chairmanship post HDFC’s amalgamation with HDFC Bank, where he serves as a Non-Executive Director. Additionally, VK Viswanathan and Prasad Chandran conclude their tenure as Independent Directors, while Venkatraman Srinivasan joins as an Independent Director for a consecutive five-year term, following nomination & remuneration committee endorsement.
