CtrlS Datacenters Ltd, Asia’s largest data center operator, aims to invest over $2 billion to expand its capacity from 234 MW to over a gigawatt in the next three to four years. The plan includes expanding in Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Chennai, and setting up data centers in 20 smaller cities. Recently unveiling its fifth data center in Chennai, the company will invest around ₹4,000 crore in the Chennai Datacenter Park. They also aim to establish edge data centers in 20 Tier-II and Tier-III cities, creating significant job opportunities. CtrlS Datacenters is exploring international markets like Thailand. With operations since 2007, they currently run 15 data centers and plan to expand further, particularly in Navi Mumbai.
