Adani Energy Solutions Ltd (AESL) recorded a 13.26% decline in consolidated net profit to Rs 381.29 crore in the quarter ended March 2024, attributed to increased expenses. However, for the full financial year 2023-24, net profit stood at Rs 1195.61 crore. Despite the profit dip, the company’s total income surged during the quarter to Rs 4,855.18 crore, and for the year to Rs 17,218.31 crore. AESL cited contributions from new transmission assets and higher energy consumption for the revenue growth. MD Anil Sardana emphasized the company’s progress in commissioning new lines and tapping market opportunities. AESL’s distribution business AEML also saw increased demand and reduced debt through a bond buyback program. With ongoing projects and contracts for smart meters, AESL anticipates further growth in India’s energy sector.
