Jagmeet Singh, leader of Canada’s NDP, has reiterated allegations of Indian government involvement in the killing of Hardeep Singh Nijjar, an India-designated terrorist, despite lack of evidence linking India to the murder. Singh’s claims follow the arrest of three Indian nationals by Canadian police in connection with Nijjar’s killing. He called for justice, asserting that any involvement by Indian agents must be met with Canadian law. Last year, Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau made similar accusations, which India vehemently denied. Canadian police have not provided evidence of Indian involvement. The trio arrested in Edmonton have been charged with first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder in relation to Nijjar’s homicide.
