Private hospitals in Andhra Pradesh have resumed services under the YSR Aarogyasri scheme following a commitment by Chief Secretary K.S. Jawahar Reddy to release ₹300 crore for pending bills within a week. This decision came after the government recently paid ₹203 crore in response to the stoppage of services by the AP Super Specialty Hospitals’ Association (ASHA). ASHA had halted services due to severe financial strains from unpaid dues. The association agreed to resume services after the assurance of prompt payment.
