Amid ongoing financial challenges, edtech giant Byju’s has pledged to ensure timely payment of salaries to its employees for the next six months. The company, facing legal battles with investors and vendors, has yet to clear pending salary dues from February and March for thousands of employees. Byju’s Chief Technology Officer, Jiny Thattil, assured employees in an email that outstanding payments would be cleared between June 15 and June 30, with a “worst-case” scenario by July 8. Additionally, Thattil affirmed that monthly salary credits and statutory compliances like tax deductions and provident fund contributions would not face disruption.
