Maharashtra Minister Hasan Mushrif pledged to tighten protocols at civil hospitals following the arrest of three medical personnel for allegedly tampering with blood samples in a case linked to a fatal Porsche crash in Pune. The crash, involving a minor driver suspected of being drunk, resulted in the deaths of two IT professionals. Dr. Ajay Taware, Dr. Shrihari Halnor, and staffer Atul Ghatkamble were accused of swapping the minor’s blood sample with that of a woman, reportedly his mother, to show he was sober. Mushrif assured stringent measures to prevent such manipulations.
