The National Anti-Doping Disciplinary Panel has revoked wrestler Bajrang Punia’s provisional suspension, citing technical grounds. Bajrang was suspended on April 23 for allegedly refusing a urine sample during Olympic qualifiers in March. However, the panel noted that no formal charge notice was issued to Bajrang. Consequently, his suspension stands revoked until such notice is issued. The panel clarified that further proceedings will depend on NADA’s decision regarding the charge notice. Bajrang had previously cited past experiences and communication issues with NADA in his defense against the allegations.
