Devananda Subin, once a 7-year-old advocate, now 12, recounts her journey addressing tidal flooding in her coastal village. Her heartfelt letter to the Ernakulam District Collector sparked administrative action, leading to the construction of an embankment benefiting over 200 households. At the WiSci South Asia STEAM Camp, she and Arundhathi V.A. shared their grassroots efforts in flood forecasting and weather monitoring. Their stories resonate with 100 girls, aged 15-17, from India, Bangladesh, the Maldives, Sri Lanka, and the U.S., highlighting youth’s role in climate resilience.
