Dinesh Kumar Khara, Chairman of State Bank of India (SBI), stated that the bank intends to wait for subsidiaries like SBI General Insurance and SBI Payment Services to further enhance their operations before considering monetization through capital markets. This strategy aims to maximize valuation and ensure better returns for SBI. As of now, no immediate plans for monetization are in place for the current fiscal year. SBI General Insurance reported a significant profit increase, while SBI Payment Services remains a major player in the merchant acquiring business despite a slight decline in net profit.
