A delegation of Haryana Congress, led by Bhupinder Singh Hooda, met Governor Bandaru Dattatreya to assert that the Nayab Singh Saini government lacks majority in the Assembly. They submitted a memorandum claiming the BJP-led government is in minority with 41 MLAs supported by two independents, while the effective strength of the Assembly is 87. The Congress demanded dissolution of the Assembly to prevent potential horse-trading, advocating for fresh elections under President’s rule to uphold democratic norms.
