Sharad Pawar, leader of the NCP (SP), hinted at a shift in strategy for the upcoming Assembly elections after the party contested fewer Lok Sabha seats to maintain alliance cohesion with Shiv Sena (UBT) and Congress. Pawar conveyed this during meetings in Pune, emphasizing readiness for Assembly polls. Discussions focused on constituencies within Pune, Baramati, Maval, and Shirur. State NCP (SP) chief Jayant Patil noted no final decisions on seat distribution within the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA). The party remains poised amid internal dynamics following varied Lok Sabha results, aiming for strategic consolidation ahead of state elections.
