The issue was discussed during a meeting between External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar and U.S. National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan. The U.S. urged India to actively participate in the investigation. State Department’s Deputy Spokesperson Vedant Patel highlighted the critical nature of Canada’s investigation, emphasizing the importance of bringing perpetrators to justice, while also urging India’s cooperation in the Canadian probe. The U.S. affirmed its commitment to ongoing regional partnerships.
