Bushra Bibi, wife of former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, may face arrest in an alleged corruption case, as the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) investigates financial transactions. Fresh evidence might change her status from a “witness” to an “accused.” Imran Khan, already jailed, faces scrutiny in corruption cases, including Toshakhana and the UK’s NCA GBP 190 million (Al-Qadir Trust case). The NAB has summoned Bibi and her aide, Farah Shahzadi, on November 13. Shahzadi is accused of substantial corruption during the PTI government. The developments add to challenges for Khan, who served as prime minister from 2018 to 2022.
