According to the fifth edition of the NordPass study, 70% of passwords globally can be cracked in less than a second. The most commonly used password among Indians in 2023 was “123456.” The study revealed that weak passwords, including numerical sequences and country/city names, are prevalent. “India@123” was a commonly used password in India. Streaming accounts typically use weak passwords, possibly due to shared account management. Stronger passwords are employed for financial accounts.
