A recent bird census conducted by the Forest department at Hyderabad’s KBR National Park revealed a total of 565 peafowl within the 390-acre area. The census, carried out with the assistance of students, organizations like Friends of Snakes Society and World Wildlife Fund, and KBR walkers, aimed to spot, identify, and count various bird species. Among the participants were CCF-Charminar Saidulu and District Forest Officer M. Joji. The comprehensive survey contributes to understanding the avian diversity in the park, emphasizing the significance of conservation efforts in this urban natural habitat.
