Ashneer Grover, ex-Managing Director of BharatPe, has apologized to the Delhi High Court for his social media comments against the firm. The court imposed a Rs 2 lakh fine and directed Grover to refrain from further ‘defamatory posts.’ The court expressed dismay over his conduct, citing a recent post revealing confidential details about BharatPe’s Series E funding. The company had filed a case seeking an injunction against Grover. In positive news for BharatPe, it announced EBITDA positivity in October, with annualized revenue surpassing Rs 1,500 crore, a 31% YoY growth. The company also reduced EBITDA burn and reported growth in its lending vertical, facilitating over Rs 640 crore in loans for merchants in October.
