India secured its 14th Olympic quota as Varun Tomar won a gold medal in the men’s 10m Air Pistol event at the Asian Qualifiers in Jakarta. Tomar, 20, shot 239.6 in the final, earning the top position, while Arjun Cheema claimed silver. The Indian team, including Tomar, Arjun, and Ujjawal Malik, also won the 10m air pistol team gold. A total of 16 quota places for the Paris Olympics are available at the event. India aims for more quotas as the competition continues in Jakarta, with 385 athletes from 26 countries participating.
