Microlender Spandana Sphoorty Financial has reported a significant increase in net profit for the October-December quarter, with a growth of 79% to reach Rs 127 crore. The improved asset quality, loan growth, and higher interest income contributed to the positive results. The lender’s income surged by 75% to Rs 657 crore, compared to Rs 375 crore in the same period last fiscal. The loan book grew by 52% to Rs 10,404 crore, and net disbursement increased by 8% to Rs 2,543 crore. The total borrower count rose to 29.6 lakh, showcasing the company’s customer acquisition-led growth strategy.
