A group of Ukrainian child survivors of war is set to address a private session of the UN Security Council, aiming to highlight the human costs of the conflict amid stalled military aid for Ukraine in the US. The child speakers include Kira, 14, and Ilya, 11, from Mariupol. Ukraine’s prosecutor general estimates that 528 children have been killed, 2,134 are missing, and 19,500 have been abducted and taken to Russia, according to a US report. The international criminal court issued arrest warrants for Vladimir Putin and Russiaās childrenās rights commissioner, Maria Lvova-Belova, over the āunlawful deportationā of thousands of children.
