India showcased its badminton prowess at the Para Badminton World Championship in Pattaya as Suhas Yathiraj, Pramod Bhagat, and Krishna Nagar secured gold in their respective classes. Yathiraj, an IAS officer, claimed his maiden world title in the SL4 category. Bhagat, a Tokyo Paralympic gold medallist, triumphed in the SL3 class, completing a hat-trick of world championships. Nagar, a Paralympic gold medallist, emerged victorious in the SH6 category. Bhagat, besides his singles victory, added two bronze medals in doubles, taking his total to 14 medals across categories. The victories mark India’s dominance in para-badminton on the global stage.
