Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, BJP’s Lok Sabha MP from Bhopal, accused the media of distorting her comments regarding her denial of renomination for the 2024 elections. Refusing to entertain questions from journalists, she expressed discontent with how her remarks have been portrayed over the years. Thakur directed reporters to her Facebook video for clarification and announced her decision to refrain from engaging with the media further, opting to convey her message through her own media channels. The BJP’s decision not to renominate her from Bhopal was speculated to be linked to her past controversial comments. Thakur won her maiden parliamentary election in 2019 by defeating Congress veteran Digvijaya Singh.
