A massive explosion at a gas station in Russia’s Dagestan killed 35, including 3 children, and injured 115, with 65 hospitalized, after a fire spread from a car repair shop to the station. The blast occurred in Makhachkala, the region’s capital. The families of the deceased will receive around $10,000 each, while the injured will get $2,000-$4,000. Some injured individuals will be airlifted to Moscow. A criminal investigation has started, and a day of mourning was declared in Dagestan. Another blast in Siberia killed 2 and wounded 5 at an oil mine. This marks Russia’s deadliest explosion since 2022.
