ISRO Chairperson S Somanath highlighted the space agency’s achievements over the past year, noting not only the successful satellite launches but also the uniqueness of the missions undertaken. Speaking at ISRO headquarters in Bengaluru during the 77th Independence Day celebrations, Somanath mentioned the record-high numbers of satellite launches and the exceptional nature of the missions. He also mentioned significant accomplishments, including the successful creation of a new SSLV rocket, the LVM-3’s commercial market capture, the launch of Oceansat-3 satellite, and the upcoming Aditya-L1 launch. Somanath also discussed upcoming projects such as the X-ray Polarimeter Satellite (XPoSat), INSAT-3DS, Gaganyaan missions, and the Indo-US NISAR mission.
