Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL), a subsidiary of the Adani Group, has announced the commencement of operations for its 551-megawatt (MW) solar power generation capacity in Khavda, Gujarat. This achievement was realized within 12 months of initiating work on the Khavda Renewable Energy (RE) park, which included developing essential infrastructure and creating a self-sustaining social ecosystem. Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, emphasized that AGEL is setting global benchmarks and reshaping standards for gigawatt-scale renewable energy projects, contributing to the group’s goal of achieving 500 GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030.
