Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ) will replace Wipro in the prestigious 30-share BSE Sensex index starting June 24, marking the first Adani Group firm’s inclusion in the Sensex. With a combined market valuation surpassing Rs 17 lakh crore, Adani Group has 10 listed firms. APSEZ’s inclusion will attract inflows of $252 million from passive funds tracking the index, while Wipro may see an outflow of $161 million. Additionally, Trent Ltd will enter S&P BSE Sensex 50, replacing Divi’s Laboratories. Other changes have been announced across various indices, including S&P BSE 100 and S&P BSE Bankex.
