Admiral Dinesh Kumar Tripathi has taken over as the 26th Navy chief, succeeding Admiral R Hari Kumar, who retired. An alumnus of Sainik School Rewa, Admiral Tripathi, a communication and electronic warfare specialist, brings 39 years of distinguished service to his new role. Prior to this, he served as the Vice Chief of the Naval Staff and held various significant positions, including Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Western Naval Command. His illustrious career includes commanding several Indian Naval Ships and key operational and staff appointments. A recipient of prestigious medals, Admiral Tripathi is known for his leadership and expertise in naval operations.
