The National Council of Applied Economic Research (NCAER) revealed a comprehensive improvement in business sentiments during the second quarter of the current fiscal year, as indicated by the Business Confidence Index (BCI) rising from 128 to 140.7. The NCAER-NSE BCI, which exceeded the previous year’s figure of 132.5, was propelled by positive expectations regarding overall economic conditions, improved financial positions of firms, a positive present investment climate, and optimal present capacity utilization. The 126th Round of NCAER Business Expectations Survey, based on responses from 500 companies, reported heightened optimism about domestic markets and increased expectations for production, domestic sales, and pre-tax profits in Q2.
