AM Green (formerly Greenko ZeroC) has received the ‘CertifHy EU RFNBO’ pre-certification for its green ammonia project in Kakinada, set to be operational by early 2025. The company plans to establish one of the world’s largest green ammonia facilities, targeting an annual production of five million tons by 2030. CertifHy, a key certification body for renewable hydrogen and e-fuels in Europe, ensures alignment with EU standards for Renewable Fuels of Non-Biological Origin (RFNBO). This pre-certification identifies design phase weaknesses, facilitating smoother Final Investment Decisions (FID) and offtake negotiations.
