On World Environment Day, APPCB Member Secretary B. Sreedhar urged people to pledge to protect the environment, emphasizing the importance of mitigating air and water pollution. He highlighted the need to avoid single-use plastics and reduce food waste, noting that 4,000 liters of water are used for one meal’s food production. Mr. Sreedhar discussed the APPCB’s initiatives, including online monitoring of pollution, waste management systems, and upgraded labs. The Board has installed Continuous Ambient Air Quality Monitoring and Real Time Noise Monitoring Systems.
