Apple has expanded its “Apple Diagnostics for Self Service Repair” software to 32 European countries, including the UK, France, and Germany. Previously available only in the US, this software allows users to test and diagnose issues with their iPhone, Mac, and Studio Display components, which was earlier restricted to Apple Authorised Service Providers and select independent repair providers. The company also announced that starting later this year, True Tone will be activatable with third-party displays, and battery health metrics will be shown for devices using third-party batteries, albeit with a disclaimer that Apple cannot verify the presented information.
