In the last 10 days, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) claims to have filled 2,652 potholes in Bengaluru after Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar demanded swift action. Despite these efforts, heavy rains have caused new potholes, endangering commuters and sparking public criticism. Many complaints on the Sahaya app remain unresolved. The BBMP uses cold mix technology for repairs, even in the rainy season, and has formed eight task forces to oversee the work. The highest number of unfilled potholes is in Yeshwanthpur. BBMP Chief Commissioner Tushar Giri Nath promised continuous efforts to address the issue.
