The King of Bhutan, Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck, is scheduled to begin an eight-day visit to India on November 3. During the visit, he is expected to meet with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss various aspects of the close India-Bhutan relationship. The Ministry of External Affairs stated that the visit would provide an opportunity for both sides to review the entire range of bilateral cooperation and further advance their exemplary partnership. The King will also visit the states of Assam and Maharashtra during his visit. India and Bhutan share unique ties of friendship and cooperation characterized by understanding and mutual trust.
