In an analysis of electoral bond data spanning from 2019 to 2024, it has been revealed that more than 100 listed companies utilized electoral bonds to channel funds to political parties. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) emerged as the primary recipient, receiving a significant portion of these contributions, far surpassing its political counterparts. Listed companies and their affiliates, including prominent names like Grasim Industries, Bharti Airtel, Vedanta, and DLF, collectively donated approximately Rs 3,665 crore to various political parties through electoral bonds during this period. This information is based on data released by the Election Commission of India under the directive of the Supreme Court.
